The National Iranian Copper Industries Company is founded in 1972. All activities of copper mines in Iran are done under the supervision of this company. The company's duties consist of extraction and exploitation of copper mines, production of high-quality stone mine and copper products such as cathode, slabs and billet. The important mines in Iran are Mess Sarcheshmeh and meydoonak mines in Kerman and Mes Songoon in Azarbayejan Sharghi.
The National Iranian Copper Industries Company wanted to produce the sulfuric Acid in the Mes Sarcheshmeh and Khatun Abad copper mines. At present, there is not enough capacity to use the total amount of acid produced in Iran. Considering the studies carried out in the southern regions of the country, due to developments in the chemical and petrochemical industries in this region, some part of these materials can be used by these companies. Also, the extras produced sulfuric acid, which can not be sold in the country, can be export to other countries. Hence, construction of sulfuric acid storage tanks in the Persian Gulf Mineral and Metal Industries Special Zone (PGMISEZ) and construction of the necessary infrastructure to export the extras sulfuric acid by Persian Gulf Special Zone jetty is on the agenda. In this regard, studies related to determine the necessary arrangements the arrangements for the loading and berthing of vessels from 20,000 to 35,000 in the Persian Gulf eastern jetty is entrusted to the Tadnin Tosehe Paydar Company. These studies include the feasibility study in term of vessels berthing , the technical feasibility consists of checking the Fendering and bollard systems to berth the vessels and present the technical solutions, investigating the different options for piping from the coast to the loading arms location and suggest the best option and finally taking the essential permits from the PGMISEZ. The engineering services in this project are expressed as follow:

Development of IOOC Jetty and Installation of 2x16” Subsea Pipeline for Oil Product Project

IOOC oil jetty is located at Lavan Island that is in 18 km distance from the coast of Iran and the Persian Gulf. This jetty connects to shore with an access route consists of a stone road and a steel access bridge with wooden deck. Jetty has the berthing capacity of 150,000 tons oil tankers and 30,000 to 60,000 tons oil product tankers. Since the year 1997, Lavan Oil Refining Company felt the need for adding two new oil product export pipelines on the existing jetty’s trestle specially with respect to the expansion plans in the following years. So Lavan Oil Refining Company awarded the contract for replacing the existing oil pipelines on the IOOC jetty and also adding two new oil product pipelines to the IOOC jetty loading platform, to the Pars Eskeleh- Puya Tarhe Pars consortium. TTP engineering company took the responsibility of all the design and engineering works.
Marine Division Scope of work in this Project was determination of the proposed subsea pipeline routes with mentioning the advantages and disadvantages of each option so that the client can select one option for the contractor to be implemented.
Something important about this project that can be pointed out was implementation of an innovative procedure that was the best and the most economical option for this project to

Development of IOOC Jetty and Renovation & Replacement of Oil Products Pipelines

According to Lavan refinery’s, process improvement and expansion plans, the refinery intends to increase its capacity according to the following table:

ATK Liters per day - 1,000,000
GAS OIL Liters per day 1,780,000 2,800,000
FENIL OIL Liters per day 1,692,000 2,700,000

Also the condensate product will be imported from the Iranian offshore oil company’s (IOOC) jetty for the prospective projects needs. The above mentioned products then will be sent from the storage tanks in the refinery to the IOOC oil jetty with several pipelines and eventually will load to ships by the loading arms. Lavan refinery with regard to the its expansion plan had decided to replace some of the existing pipeline and add several new ones.
Thus Lavan Oil Refining Company had assigned the pipeline replacement project to consortium of Pars Eskeleh and Puya Tarhe Pars companies. In this project Tadvin Tosehe Paydar Company took the responsibility for providing design and engineering services.
The project work Description was providing engineering services, purchasing, installation and commissioning and delivery of pipeline replacement and construction of pipelines as follows:
1. Construction of two new subsea 16 inches pipelines from jetty’s first valve pit to the loading platform in the western side of the existing oil jetty access bridge each with length of 1,150 meters for the gasoline and gasoil transmission.
2. Construction of an 18 inches new pipeline from the measurement system (PD-Meter) to the valve pit location at the beginning of the jetty with the length of about 900 meters for the transmission of gasoil on land.
3. Replacement of 8, 12 and 16 inches pipelines from the valve pit location to loading platform, each with the length of approximately 980 meters.
4. Performing essential repairs and reinstallation of five existing loading arms.
5. Replacing of 14 inches existing pipeline from the measurement system (PD-Meter) to the valve pit location at the beginning of the jetty for transmission of condensate with the length of about 900 meters.
6. Installation and commissioning of the Slop tank and product transmission pump in around the valve pit area at the beginning of the jetty. TTP engineering company scope of work in this project was, design of new and replaced pipeline route, design of concrete and metal supports for the pipeline route and also providing procurement engineering services and inspections for the piping, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation disciplines in the construction
phase of the project.
